MELLING 299014

Melling 299014 is an anti-pump-up hydraulic flat-tappet lifter for selected Ford V8 engines. Its performance construction limits lifter pump-up at higher engine speed and is intended for an adjustable valvetrain set at zero lash.

Application / fitment

The lifter fits selected Ford V8 engines using a flat-tappet camshaft and adjustable valvetrain. Confirm the engine family, camshaft type and lifter-bore diameter.

Use the lifter only with an adjustable valvetrain and set it at zero lash according to Melling instructions. New flat-tappet lifters require assembly lubricant and the correct camshaft break-in procedure with oil containing the required ZDDP level.
