Melling SYB-19 is a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft for Ford 370, 429 and 460 Big Block engines. The profile is intended for stock replacement applications where compatibility with the original hydraulic valvetrain is important.

The camshaft is intended for selected Ford Big Block engines with hydraulic flat tappet lifters.

Typical automotive applications include selected Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models with 429 / 460 engines and truck applications with 370 / 429 / 460 engines from approximately 1968–1997, such as Ford F-Series, E-Series, Bronco, Thunderbird, LTD, Torino, Lincoln Continental, Mark Series and Mercury Marquis, Montego and related models. Final compatibility must be confirmed by engine, block year, lifter type and valvetrain configuration.
Before installation, confirm hydraulic lifter compatibility, valve spring condition, rocker arm ratio and the correct flat tappet cam break-in procedure.
