Clean the pan and block flanges thoroughly and straighten any pan flange distorted around the bolt holes. Apply a thin bead of RTV sealant at the corners (timing cover and rear main seal joints). Tighten from the centre outwards to the engine specification – overtightening squeezes the gasket out. Engines with a windage tray need 2 sets – above and below the tray.
Approximate fitment. The manufacturer lists this part for the engine family, not for vehicles. The “Fits” list shows vehicles factory-fitted with these engines – compare the part with the old one before ordering.
