ENGINETECH S9222

Enginetech S9222 is a positive valve stem seal manufactured from Viton elastomer. It presses directly onto the valve guide to meter oil at the valve stem and reduce oil entry into the combustion chamber.

Application / fitment

The seal is used in engines requiring an 8 mm valve stem and a guide prepared for a 0.472 in / 11.99 mm seal body. Fitment must be confirmed dimensionally and by the engine catalog number.

Measure the valve stem and guide outside diameter and check valve-to-guide clearance before installation. Press the seal on with the correct installer and protect the sealing lip from the valve-lock grooves. Replacing the seal alone cannot correct an excessively worn guide.
