Melling MPC-133B

Melling 1 1/2 133B, catalog number MPC-133-B, is a brass deep cup expansion plug / freeze plug used to close casting core holes in an engine. The cup-style plug is installed by press fit, while brass provides strong corrosion resistance in coolant-contact areas.

Application / fitment

This plug is intended for engine block or cylinder-head casting holes where the service specification calls for a 1-1/2" nominal deep cup plug. This size is included in numerous engine plug sets, but the required quantity and installation position depend on the specific engine design. Before installation, compare the cleaned bore diameter, available seating depth, and shape of the removed plug.
