Dorman 555-055 is a steel camshaft expansion plug with a nominal 2-1/2" size. It closes the camshaft bore in selected Ford, Lincoln and Mercury engines to prevent oil leakage from the rear or side of the block, depending on engine design.
Application / fitment
The Dorman catalog covers selected 1959-1960 and 1968-1997 Ford, 1958-1965 and 1968-1978 Lincoln, and 1958-1960, 1969-1978 and 1981-1987 Mercury applications. Confirm the camshaft-plug position, bore diameter, cup depth and OE reference before installation.
