Pioneer PF-510
Cylinder head dowel pin for locating the head on the engine block. Size: 5/16” × 1-1/8” / approx. 7.94 × 28.58 mm.
Pioneer PF-510 is a cylinder head dowel pin used to accurately locate the cylinder head on the engine block. Correct dowel installation is important when fitting the cylinder head, head gasket and valvetrain components because it helps prevent misalignment during engine assembly.
Application / fitment
Used in selected Ford V8 engines where a 5/16” × 1-1/8” cylinder head dowel pin is required. It may appear in Ford Small Block / Windsor and selected Ford Big Block applications, but with this type of part the critical check is the physical size and fit in the block and head.
Before installation, compare the diameter, length and seating depth with the original dowel. The dowel must seat firmly in the block and must not interfere with the cylinder head or head gasket.
