Mahle / Clevite CB-634A

Mahle/Clevite CB-634A is a connecting rod bearing set for Ford Small Block engines. The A-Series bearing design is intended for stock and mildly modified engines where the correct size must be selected for the rod journal.

Application / fitment

The set is used in selected Ford Small Block engines from approximately 1962–2001, including 221, 255, 260, 289 and 302 / 5.0. Typical applications include Ford, Lincoln and Mercury engines from the Windsor family, but final compatibility should be confirmed by crankshaft, connecting rods and bearing size.

Before installation, measure rod journal diameter, check bearing width, crankshaft fillet radius and oil clearance. If the crankshaft has been ground undersize, use the correct undersize variant according to the actual journal diameter.
