SILV-O-LITE 1106
Set of cast flat-top pistons for the 1962–1964 Ford 260 V8, with 3.800 in. STD bore and 1.580 in. compression height.
SILV-O-LITE 1106 is a set of cast-aluminium flat-top pistons for the Ford Small Block 260 CID / 4.3 L V8. The piston uses four grooves: an upper carbon-collector groove plus three grooves for the compression and oil-control rings. The wrist pin is press-fitted into the connecting rod.
Application / fitment
- Ford Small Block Windsor 260 CID / 4.3 L V8, approximately 1962–1964
- selected Ford Falcon, Fairlane and Mercury Comet applications originally equipped with the 260 V8
- selected Sunbeam Tiger applications using the Ford 260 V8, after verifying bore and piston configuration
1106 is the base number for the piston family. STD and 0.020, 0.030, 0.040 and 0.060 in. oversizes are available. Verify the complete package marking and measure the actual piston before machining the cylinders; the base number alone does not identify the bore size.

Set final piston-to-wall clearance from the piston manufacturer's instructions, the intended engine use and measurements of the actual components. Marine, supercharged or severe-duty engines may require different clearance from a standard road engine.
