Jegs 40100
High-energy canister ignition coil for classic breaker points and non-CD systems. Output voltage up to 45,000 V.
JEGS 40100 is a high-energy canister-style ignition coil for classic breaker points and standard non-CD electronic ignition systems. The oil-filled design and up to 45,000 V output help provide a strong spark in gasoline engines when the coil is matched to the correct ignition system.
Application / fitment
This coil is a universal-style part and should be selected by ignition system type, mounting style, resistance and wiring requirements. It is suitable for many classic vehicles using breaker points or standard non-CD electronic ignition.
- classic breaker points ignition systems
- standard non-CD electronic ignition systems
- gasoline engines using an external canister-style coil
- universal applications depending on ignition system specifications
Before installation, check whether the system requires a ballast resistor or resistance wire and confirm that primary resistance is compatible with the module or breaker points. Do not use this coil with CD ignition systems unless the ignition manufacturer specifies this coil type.
