Accel 8140C

ACCEL 8140C SuperStock is a universal chrome oil-filled canister ignition coil rated at up to 42,000 volts. It is designed for classic breaker-point systems and selected breakerless inductive electronic ignitions requiring 1.4-ohm primary resistance.

Application / fitment

The coil is universal rather than vehicle-specific. It can replace a conventional cylindrical coil in domestic and import vehicles after verifying ignition type, system voltage and required primary-circuit resistance.

Do not remove the vehicle's ballast resistor or resistance wire without checking the ignition-system instructions. Incorrect primary resistance can overheat the coil, ignition module or breaker points.
