SPECTRA PREMIUM C-615
Conventional 12 V oil-filled ignition coil with two threaded primary terminals and a central high-voltage socket.
Spectra Premium C-615 is a 12 V oil-filled conventional ignition coil for external-coil ignition systems. It has two threaded primary terminals and a central high-voltage coil-wire socket.
Application / fitment
The coil appears in a broad range of classic Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and other vehicles using a conventional canister coil. Confirm voltage, required primary resistance, ballast-resistor arrangement and mounting style.
- part type: conventional ignition coil
- selected Ford Mustang, Bronco, F-Series, Falcon, Fairlane, Galaxie and Thunderbird applications
- selected Mercury Cougar, Comet, Montego, Monterey and Marquis applications
- selected Lincoln Continental and Mark Series applications
- other catalog applications requiring Spectra Premium C-615
- system voltage: 12 V DC
Determine whether the ignition system requires an external ballast resistor or resistance wire before installation. Incorrect primary-circuit resistance can overheat the coil or reduce spark energy. Reuse or source the mounting bracket, high-voltage lead and hardware separately.
