Redline Dual 99004.295
Redline 99004.295 is a mechanical throttle-linkage kit for operating two Weber IDF carburetors on air-cooled Volkswagen / Porsche Type 4 engines. The system synchronizes both carburetor throttles and provides balanced engine response to accelerator-pedal movement.
Application / fitment
The linkage is intended for Type 4 dual-carburetor conversions using Weber IDF carburetors and matching Redline-style manifolds. Typical applications include:
- 1970–1976 Porsche 914 1.7, 1.8 and 2.0 converted to dual Weber IDF carburetors
- 1976 Porsche 912E 2.0 converted to dual Weber IDF carburetors
- Volkswagen Type 2 / Bus / Transporter with a 1.7, 1.8 or 2.0 Type 4 pancake engine
- other air-cooled VW/Porsche Type 4 projects using two 40, 44 or 48 IDF carburetors
Fitment condition: verify carburetor type, manifold height, air-cleaner bases, fan-housing clearance and original throttle-cable routing before installation. This product is not a carburetor or intake-manifold kit. A complete conversion also requires separate carburetors, correct manifolds, filters, fuel plumbing and a suitable throttle cable.
Installation note: set both carburetors mechanically at closed throttle before adjusting the linkage rods without preloading either arm. After startup, synchronize airflow, set idle speed and verify that both throttles reach full opening without binding.
