Scott Drake SDK-C4AZ-8546
Aluminum mechanical fan spacer for selected 1964–1973 Ford Mustang models. 57.15 mm thick with 15.88 mm male and female pilots.
Scott Drake C4AZ-8546-A is an aluminum mechanical fan spacer for classic Ford Mustang cooling systems. It moves the fan away from the water-pump pulley and establishes fan position relative to the radiator and fan shroud.
Application / fitment
The spacer is cataloged for 1964–1973 Ford Mustang models, but correct fitment depends on the water pump, pulley, fan, radiator and shroud. Measure the required offset and locating-pilot diameter before purchase.
- part type: mechanical fan spacer
- Ford Mustang — selected 1964–1973 versions
- inline-six and V8 engines only after cooling-system geometry confirmation
- spacer thickness: 2.250 in / 57.15 mm
- male pilot diameter: 0.625 in / 15.88 mm
- female pilot diameter: 0.625 in / 15.88 mm
After installation, the fan blades must sit correctly in the shroud and maintain safe clearance from the radiator, belts and surrounding components. Fasteners must provide sufficient thread engagement after adding the spacer and the pilot must center the fan without looseness. Rotate the assembly by hand and check runout before startup.
