AMC 907151

AMC 907151 is a universal positive battery terminal clamp / battery-cable adapter for repairing or constructing the connection between a cable and the positive battery post. The metal clamp provides a secure mechanical and electrical joint when correctly matched to the post diameter and cable size.

Application / fitment

This is a universal component and is not assigned to a particular vehicle make or model. It is used with a conventional tapered positive battery post, including replacement of a corroded terminal, fabrication of a battery cable or adaptation of an existing connection.

Fitment condition: confirm battery-post type and diameter, cable cross-section, cable attachment method and available clearance. Positive and negative posts use different diameters and the clamps must not be interchanged. Do not install the clamp on an incompatible cable size or a damaged battery post.

Installation note: disconnect the negative terminal first and then the positive terminal. Clean the cable end to bright metal and secure all conductor strands. Seat the clamp fully on the post and tighten it without cracking the body. Protect the completed joint against corrosion and check voltage drop during cranking.
