Hastings 2M683 is a complete standard-size plasma-moly piston ring set for eight-cylinder engines with a nominal 4.250" / 107.95 mm cylinder bore. The set uses a plasma-moly top ring, a phosphate-faced second ring, and a standard-tension three-piece oil ring.
Application / fitment
This is a dimensional set for selected V8 engines using a 4.250" bore and 5/64" × 5/64" × 3/16" piston-ring grooves. Common applications include production-style Chevrolet 7.0 / 427 and 7.4 / 454 pistons and selected Chrysler / Dodge 6.3 / 383 and 7.0 / 426 pistons when the exact ring pack is present.
